Lane Security exchanged fresh ideas with Mela Creative in the early stages of the product development of Lane Touch Plus in order to add measureable value to the final product’s success in the marketplace. Lane Touch Plus is a complete entrance lockset with convenient one touch locking plus deadlocking for enhanced security and an elegant look.
We worked confidentially with Lane to bounce ideas for the overall strategy of this new product including the name and alternate packaging formats in conjunction with the manufacturers well before any design work commenced.
The Touch Plus logo was designed by Mela to incorporate the shape of the one touch button to reinforce the innovative functionality of the locking system. The slimline white box packaging was designed with a minimalist look complemented by an internal blister that hugs the lockset onto a wood look panel for consumers to visualize what the lock would look like on their front door.
Consistent design that communicates the recognisable, trusted Lane Security brand is very important in ultimately executing a successful launch. Mela’s design of all advertising and marketing collateral for Touch Plus ensures this is always paramount.
