Category: Packaging Refresh for Brunox’s Entry into the Australian Market

Mela Creative partnered with Brunox, a European brand with over 40 years of expertise in lubrication, protection, and maintenance products. To launch in Australia, Brunox needed packaging tailored to local consumers while staying true to its global identity.

Challenge: Local Relevance Meets Global Consistency

The existing packaging was cluttered with multilingual copy and lacked a clear system across the range, making navigation difficult. It also required updates to meet Australian hazard and compliance standards—all without losing the strength of the established brand.

Solution: Streamlined and Market-Ready

We refined the design with concise, locally relevant messaging, a consistent layout for easy navigation, and updated compliance details. The result is a modern, cohesive packaging suite that connects Brunox’s European heritage with Australian consumer expectations, ready for a confident market entry.

Brunox’s existing packaging featured multiple languages to cater to diverse global markets. While functional internationally, this approach left limited space for targeted messaging to Australian consumers. The challenge was to adapt the packaging to meet Australian hazard classifications and market expectations while maintaining a consistent visual identity with products sold in other regions.

To further improve clarity and consumer engagement, we designed a suite of custom icons to communicate product use and benefits at a glance. These icons provided a visual language that transcends text, making information more digestible and reducing reliance on lengthy written descriptions.
