Castrol BP engaged Mela Creative to design packaging for their industrial and commercial motor oil range over a six-year period. The work included developing multiple product packaging designs as well as campaign and promotional marketing collateral to engage truck drivers and other end users.

Challenge: Standing Out Within an Established Brand

The key challenge was to work within the existing Castrol BP brand identity while creating packaging that was instantly recognisable yet distinct for new product variants. The goal was to achieve a balance between brand consistency and a fresh, attention-grabbing presence, avoiding generic or “me-too” designs.
